We have an exciting opportunity for DS Licenced Retail Security Officers to join our team at The Royal Festival Hall (days and nights).

 

Our Client

 

Set across 11 acres, The Southbank Centre is London’s favourite meeting spot with restaurants, bars, street food markets and dramatic riverside views.

 

The Southbank Centre is made up of the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, Hayward Gallery, National Poetry Library and Arts Council Collection and home to six resident orchestras.

Purpose of the Role

To ensure all visitors to retail levels 1 and 2 of the Royal Festival Hall receive a welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service promoting the Southbank Centre and its activities by provide a safe environment for all to enjoy

Shift rotation of 4 days on, 4 days off. 11.30am-23.30pm. 42 hour average week.

Person Specification

Have an enthusiastic demeanour at all times
Must have a pro-active attitude in everything you do – solve the problem before it is raised.
Be able to work with all partner Service providers to present a unified team.
Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to assist all visitors in a helpful, courteous and confident manner.
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and logically in face
to face situations with the client and staff.

Appreciation of the need for safe working practices with the ability to implement company policy and procedure and ensure it is adhered to at all times.
Personal presentation to a high standard at all times.
Key Responsibilities

Be pro-active with your approach to ensure expected standards of the Southbank facility and their staff are met.
Respond to incidents, situations, problems as soon as possible.
Monitor the retail units on the Riverside Level one, level two Festival Walk and the Skateboarders Park in the under croft area.
Prevent theft or any acts that may cause offence or distress to patrons and monitors the health and safety of these areas.
Move on any buskers or beggars.
Prevent skateboarders from skating in front of the retail units.
Prevent cyclists from riding or chaining their bicycles in front of the retail units.
General responsibilities:

 

Build positive relationships with the client and stakeholders of the Southbank Centre.
Ensure all client queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and that the
Security Duty Manager is kept fully informed of what action has/is being taken.
Responsible for your uniform and to ensure it is always clean and in good condition.
